Summarize the purpose of your Genius Hour project in 140 characters.
For my Genius Hour project, my primary goal was to make art tutorials. In these tutorials, I would help explain some general fundamentals for drawing certain things. Some of these things is question were humanoid anatomy, hands specifically, facial expressions, and a assortment of general clothing. With this in mind, I would often find that my friends would ask for tips on how to draw certain things in art as I seemed to do pretty good in these areas. I could always give a short synopsis of the anatomical rules and general tips however, I realized that as an artist that is not too terribly useful. It is generally better to have visual references to look at and be able to store for later use. On that account, I decided to make series of art tutorials under the alias of 'Artfelt Tutorials.
Explain the process of your Genius Hour project. Be reflective. Be contemplative. Explain and describe your journey.
To start this whole project up, the entirety of the idea had to come to mind. It was honestly kind of hard to discover the idea of what I would want to do as a Genius Hour project. I am not the sort of person to suddenly just devote themselves into making something for another. That is not to say that I do not like helping people, in that is the complete opposite. There is a build up process I have to go through and I was not sure what route would have the quickest starter for me to get into. After a bit, the idea dawned on me for what kind of project to do. I could make art tutorials to help other people with drawing.

With my idea at hand I presented this idea with my English teacher, Mrs. Sutton. She was fine with my idea and gave me the stamp of approval. This gave the first push into my Genius Hour project. This was merely the starting line for the project however with the finish line ever in the horizon. Time to make the blueprints for the project. To start out with art tutorials, an outline is preferable to start out with. Tutorials of this caliber have to give a good balance of description and provide excellent visual aid to provide help to almost any art. There are various artist out there, so having the balance provides almost anyone alike the help one may need. If there is an influx with balance, the content would seem confusing to someone. It may seem like it would not be such a big deal and if the indifference is minor it can slide, however, there are two main problems when it comes to major differences. Being too descriptive with words can often lead to misinterpretation when trying to draw as may artist with have varying ideas to how it looks. While this might not be a problem with people who have already being doing art for sometime and by simply reading it can adapt to their current style, my targeted audience was more towards people starting out with art. On the flip side of things however, having the tutorial be primarily visual aids can have a similar effect of confusion. Description, when used correctly, can provide an easy remembrance of how to draw certain things and give a better focal point when drawing in general. Without somewhat seeing how an artist was thinking through drawing a piece of art or conveying their opinion, trying to practice with the tutorial can be like trying to traverse New York City without any sort of map.
The intention For Genius Hour is NOT only to learn, but ALSO to share your knowledge with others who can and will benefit from your learning. How did you share your learning? What do you hope the result might be?
If you could do anything different with your Genius Hour project what would you do differently and why?
Reflect on what you did well during this Genius Hour process? Note your successes and accomplishments.
